“One thing I noticed is that for supernatural thing to happen, it cannot simply be done in plain daily consciousness mind. (Imagine if so, then the world would be chaotic with abuse of power.)  It has to be very relaxed dreamlike state but awake.  I think I got such notion after listening to your hypnosis CDs hundreds of times.

Back when I was a kid, I experimented with standing a pen on a table and then striking it without touching it and without air push.  That was way before I knew about hypnosis.  I remember doing it twice.  One time with my eyes open, but I noticed my palm was quite red.  Another time my eyes closed.  I think I imagined the C, E, G piano harmony in my mind.  After being so excited, my subsequent attempts failed, and I left it at that until five days ago.

I tried the same experiment.  This time having experience with hypnosis from your programs, I repeated the experiment with the pen.  I made my body very relaxed, as if it were dead, but my mind very awake.  I said I would not give up until I achieve it.  I think I experienced going into different esoteric world as if I was moving to different world in an elevator.  Then I heard the pen hit the table from its upright position.  Clearly my hand was far from the object and my hand did not move while I was doing the experiment.  I think it took like 15-20 minutes to succeed.

I was very excited and disturbed about my power but my subsequent attempts again failed.  Sometimes I was trying to get the pen to move even for the whole hour, but the pen did not fall down.

I felt I needed some help and the Internet has too many magic tricks, but not the genuine psychokinesis.  That’s why I decided to go further into it with your Psychokinesis program.
So I was wondering whether having prior experience of telekinesis can help or rather prevent achieving it by listening to your hypnosis.”

Response to Mike’s questions:

All phenomena revolve around consciousness and energy – how much energy you focus into certain idea.

It doesn’t matter whether you’re relaxed or agitated, but rather how focused you are upon the idea you desire to express through your experience.

You may feel outraged, so mentally and emotionally wrapped up in that upsetting idea that, for a while, nothing else exists for you.  Your mind so totally focused on that upsetting idea, that you experience instant effect.  Your computer crashes, your microwave blows up, or that beautiful chandelier hanging above you, hits the ground narrowly missing your head.

Poltergeist phenomena, may happen to children and adults alike, when they have a lot of intense emotions bursting not only to find expression, but also to get attention of those around them.

People who lovingly talk to their computers and cars in hopes that these would serve them better, understand either consciously or intuitively that on a deeper level everything is made out of intelligent energy and that you can interact with any form of energy because it responds to consciousness.

Now, for the most part, when people practice psychokinesis intentionally, they are in a physically relaxed, yet mentally alert state of mind.  When people feel restless, they may find it easier to focus mentally, if they are moving their bodies, usually in some kind of rhythmic motion.

And since different experiences require different amounts of energy, the more energy you allow to flow through you, the faster results can you get.  Many times, when people engage in mind over matter experiments for the very first time, since they don’t know what to expect or what exactly is going to happen, they naturally remain in an open state of mind – in an observer state of mind, where while they are focusing on the idea, they are also allowing it to happen.

And then, after the initial success, many people err by “trying” to replicate the previous experience, instead of remaining in that open state of mind.  Thus, they block the energy and nothing happens, until they stop trying.

When people begin practicing psychokinesis, it often happens that while they are sitting and gazing at the object they want to move, trying as they might, nothing seems to be happening.  And then, when they get up – and they allow things to happen – the object moves.

With more experience, you eventually figure out how to focus on what you want to happen, while at the same time allowing it to happen, and when you get a knack for how to use the power of your mind, it becomes easier.  As with any other skill, the more you practice, the better you get at it.”

The following story is from a woman who, while physically seated in San Francisco, imagined herself to be in her daughter’s living room in London, England:

“Seated in my living room in San Francisco, I imagined I was in my daughter’s living room in London, England. I surrounded myself so completely with that room which I knew intimately, that I suddenly found myself actually standing in it.

”My daughter was standing by her fireplace, her face turned away from me. A moment later she turned and our eyes met. I saw such a startled, frightened expression on her face that I, too, became emotionally upset and immediately found myself back in my own living room in San Francisco.

“Five days later I received an airmail letter from my daughter which had been written on the day of my experiment with imaginal travel. In her letter she told me she had “seen” me in her living room that day just as real as though I were actually standing there in the flesh. She confessed she had been very frightened and that before she could speak, I had vanished.

She explained that she told her husband of this amazing experience and he insisted that she write to me immediately as he stated, “Your mother must have died or is dying”. But I wasn’t “dead” or “dying”, but very much alive and very excited by this marvelous experience.”

Shapeshifting, sometimes written as shape-shifting, or shape shifting, is the ability to change the shape of a an energy field which may manifest in a physical dimension as a physical object or entity, or be perceived as intangible. This term is most often used in reference to your ability to change the shape of your body. In a broader sense, it also includes changing your environment.

For most people, the term shapeshifting brings to mind images of werewolves and big wild cats like tigers and panthers. While you can shape-shift your energy field into anything, throughout history people had most often shape-shifted into different animal forms. The purpose of shapeshifting has never been to impress others, but rather to partake of the strength, wisdom or power of specific species – plant, animal, and others – and for the sake of acquiring new learnings.

All shapeshifting occurs on an energy level. However, depending on the density of the vibration of a specific energy field, the shapeshifting event may be more or less obvious to physical senses. When a complete physical transformation occurs, a shapeshifting is said to be physical.

The vast majority of shape-shifters do not undergo a complete physical transformation and may outwardly physically appear pretty much the same – but others may sense the energetic change, and the behavior of the person may be altered in some way.

According to the degree of transformation, shape-shifters are generally divided into two categories: energy shape-shifters and physical shape-shifters. With some, the ability to shape-shift occurs spontaneously and they have a challenge learning how to control it. Others may need to invest time into developing the ability.

To a certain degree we are all shapeshifting all the time because our thoughts and emotions affect our energy field – the energy we project and the energy others perceive. At times we do this intentionally for a specific purpose – think of a time when you wanted to kill someone and you were shooting daggers through your eyes to get your meaning across, or think of a time when you wanted to seduce someone and were practically eating up the person with your eyes. Other times our energy can change spontaneously if someone pushed our buttons and we lost control and perhaps started to behave like an animal. Or perhaps you know someone who seems to become a different kind of being under the influence of alcohol.

If you look at your photographs throughout time, or at the people around you, you will notice an obvious physical change. As people age, their life story becomes engraved in their bodies. If you look at couples who have lived together for a long time, you may notice that they have become to resemble each other to some extent as their energies synchronized. Some people even begin to resemble the pets whose company they enjoy.

Different styles of kung fu martial arts have been developed based on observation of movements of different animals. To the best of his ability, a martial artist becomes inwardly, on an energy level, the animal whose movements and particular skills he desires to emulate. He doesn’t just imitate the postures outwardly, but identifies with the essence of the animal he desires to emulate.

Your physiology will also affect your neurological response. For example, standing like a gorilla will tend to activate your reptilian brain and will create an optimal state for engaging in a physical combat.

In Scandinavian countries, a special group of fierce Viking warriors, berserkers, went into battle “without coats of mail and acted like mad dogs and wolves” (Snorri Sturluson. Heimskringla: History of the Kings of Norway. trans. Lee M. Holander. Austin: U of Texas P. 1964. p.10). The berserker was often said to change into an animal form, or at least to assume the ferocious qualities of the wolf or bear.

Kveldulfr in Egils Saga Skallagrimsonar was spoken of as a shapechanger (Hermann Palsson and Paul Edwards, trans. Egil’s Saga. NY: Penguin. 1976. p. 21), and Hrolf’s Saga tells of the hero Bjarki, who takes on the shape of a bear in battle:

“Men saw that a great bear went before King Hrolf’s men, keeping always near the king. He slew more men with his forepaws than any five of the king’s champions. Blades and weapons glanced off him, and he brought down both men and horses in King Hjorvard’s forces, and everything which came in his path he crushed to death with his teeth, so that panic and terror swept through King Hjorvard’s army…” (Gwyn Jones. Eirik the Red and Other Icelandic Sagas. NY: Oxford U.P. 1961. p. 313).

Another quality possessed by berserkers was the immunity to weapons. The berserker sometimes inherently possessed this immunity, while other times used the power of the mind through self-hypnosis and chanting of spells to induce it. Some berserkers also had special powers to blunt weapons by their gaze. Many tales tell of berserkers, “no weapon could bite them” or “iron could not bite into him.”

The concept of immunity may have evolved from the berserker’s rage, during which the berserk might receive wounds, but due to his state of frenzy induced hypnosis become unaware of them until his mental state returned to normal consciousness.

A warrior who continued fighting while bearing mortal wounds must have been a terrifying opponent. Some of the modern practices that come to mind here are “iron shirt” and “iron body” from kung fu, as well as development of such immunity from spiritual and esoteric traditions practiced by yogis, dervishes and others who intensively work with energy and consciousness.

The purpose of shapeshifting is not restricted to physical combat. In daily life you can benefit even more from practicing shapeshifting for the purpose of gaining internal strength, wisdom and many other qualities which would have a healing effect upon your mind, emotions and body – the ultimate purpose being to experience greater sense of inner balance and well-being rather than to create havoc.

You may already feel a particular affinity to a specific animal. For example, a cat-loving people would most likely feel affinity for shapeshifting into any kind of “big cats”, while dog-loving people would most likely feel affinity for shapeshifting into “wolf-like creatures”.

My first experience occurred spontaneously at that time of the month when women have the tendency to go off a deep end, and some would appropriately say they belong to a zoo. Raging hormones and emotions stimulated the internal shape-shift experience and had an extremely healing and calming effect on me. The profound energetic shapeshifting shapeshifting experience provided an outlet for the unbearable pressure I felt inside, and brought me a sense of calm and peace.

Shapeshifting is not restricted to animal forms, not to any creatures existing in the physical realm. Depending on your needs and desire for learning, you may choose different God-forms. In esoteric circles, this is more often referred to as “God-form assumption”, rather than shapeshifting. The purpose here is to obtain learnings and to help you develop qualities and attributes within you which are characteristic of a specific deity. You may also experiment with shapeshifting into fantasy creatures, if they possess attributes you’d like to experience and/on enhance within yourself.

People practicing Huna have come up with the term “groking” to describe the state of attunement with different life-forms – whether animals, plants, oceans, or anything else.

You can most certainly use the Remote Influence Hypnosis CD for that purpose – however, I wouldn’t recommend to focus on breaking up the relationship, but rather on sending them both light, envisioning them both being happy and filled with light, and having all of their needs met. In that way you will help both them and yourself to raise consciousness, to heal whatever needs to be healed within them, and to live from a higher level of consciousness.  They will do whatever is most appropriate for them to move toward greater happiness – whether together or by going separate ways.

What you focus on will influence not only other people but you as well, because the thoughts, feelings, and vibrations you send to others are rooted within you, and you will be attracting to yourself whatever resonates with the vibrations that you are releasing.  For that reason  I recommend that you focus on the highest possible outcome for everyone concerned.

People have many reasons why they do things, and people keep on attracting to themselves whatever resonates with them – so even if you use the power of the mind to get the person out of one messy situation, unless the person’s consciousness changes, the person may promptly find himself in another messy situation.  If you want to lift others up, you will do them greater favor by helping them to raise their consciousness to the highest level by envisioning them as beautiful, powerful, loving, wise, beings of light. They will know what is the right thing for them to do.

Joseph Murphy in one of his books mentions an article about Ray Hammerstrom, a roller at the steel works in Pittsburgh operated by Jones and Laughlin Steel Corporation. He received $15,000 for his dream.

According to the article, the engineers could not fix a faulty switch in a newly installed bar mill which controlled the delivery of straight bars to the cooling beds. The engineers worked on the switch about eleven or twelve times to no avail.

Hammerstrom thought a lot about the problem and tried to figure out a new design, which might work. Nothing worked. One afternoon he lay down for a nap, and prior to sleep he began to think about the answer to the switch problem. He had a dream in which a perfect design for the switch was portrayed. When he awoke, he sketched his new design according to the outline of his dream.

This visionary catnap won Hammerstrom a check for $15,000; the largest award the firm ever gave an employee for a new idea.

Abdul asks, “How to open third eye?”

Among different methods of opening third eye, the method which I have found most effective and rapid, I have described on Illumination hypnosis CD.

Other popular methods consist of simply focusing on the area of your third eye.  Remember that energy flows where attention goes.  

The popular practice also involves chanting OM and/or mantra that is meaningful to you, while focusing on the are of your third eye, to the point that you feel OM, or whatever you choose to chant resonating in the third eye area.  If you want more information about different kinds of mantras, you can check out my mantra related blog.

And personally I have had some amazing experiences focusing on a crystal ball.  Incidentally, I had better results with a rather small crystal ball then with a large one, but if you are using a crystal ball, you may experiment with different sizes to see what works best for you.  There are many ways of working with a crystal ball, but for the purpose of opening third eye, I simply used crystal ball as a focusing device and I’d experience a pressure in the third eye area. Sometimes when I’d do this practice in the evening before falling asleep, I’d find myself having spontaneous precognitive dreams – I’d be experiencing some of the events that would occur the following day.

The story with the man who teleported shoes was only an example of a case where the ability happened spontaneously.  He didn’t plan to take the shoes, nor did he work on developing the ability to teleport himself or anything else.  In his case, working with other practice involving energy and consciousness has opened the way for spontaneous teleportation.  He discovered that he can teleport his body later on, after the incident with shoes took place.

All of us from time to time experience phonomena that we may not have intended to happen, but which happened due to intense desire for solution of some problem.  The desire itself sets forces in motion and creates movement in energy field and the way things unfold at times may find us greatly surprised as we may experience things we didn’t even believe to be possible.   Sometimes, it may not be exactly our own desire, but that we found ourselves under conditions where we were more open or sensitive or something in our environment (visible or invisible) triggered the phenomena.

People who train themselves for hours each day to work with energy and consciousness are likely to experience more dramatic phenomena spontaneously – as they are already experienced in focusing their thoughts well and  energy follows thought.

In all esoteric and spiritual traditions, mind training begins with some form of inner cleansing, cleansing of mind, heart and emotions. The more that energetic obstacles are removed – whether they were created on mental, emotional, or on physical level, the easier it is for the energy to flow, the faster will the individual be able to generate power and the less likely that extra power will create any adverse effects.

If one has accumulated inner gunk so to speak, whether mentally, emotionally or physically, when more power is added, everything becomes amplified within the person, so the mental, emotional or physical challenge that may have been small transforms into a bigger challenge. That is one reason for inner cleansing.

Another reason is that simply by removing inner obstacles, the more power, energy, life-force can flow effortlessly through the person and in the process all kinds of abilities become unleashed spontaneously.

It was in Kerala and Mangalore in South India where Bhagawan Nityananda enacted many of his lilas, or divine plays, and performed many of his miracles. He travelled on foot, roaming freely in Dharmasthala, Kapu, Mulki, Udipi, Padubidri, Kanhangad, Kasargod, Bantwal, Gokarna, and various other places. During his travels he freed many people from illness, sorrow, pain, and poverty.  Even today people of that area remember him with tears of gratitude, and sometimes they come to Ganeshpuri to have a darshan of his samadhi shrine.

Shri Gurudev loved solitude, and he lived alone.  He usually travelled on foot, moving through the woods and mountains with lightning speed. People say he could move from one place to another with a speed of thought.  He never stayed anywhere for long.  He would travel from one village to another in a state of total bliss; for him, divine joy existed everywhere. He accepted food and water only if they were offered to him, since he never felt their want.  He lived in a state of childlike innocence.

There were many stories of miracles from this period.  As the accounts of his miraculous powers were told, more and more people followed him.  To avoid the crowds, he kept on the move. Sometimes he even climbed trees and from there he would casually toss down leaves as medicine to people who were sick.  Devotees would accept the gift and become well again. Sometimes his mere presence would heal people.

Stories are told of other kinds of miracles too.  He built many caves and rest houses without taking money from anyone.  He would tell the workers to take their wages from under any stone in the jungle, and they used to get the right amount.  Or he would put his hand in his loincloth and take out the right amount without even counting.

When the ashram was being built in Kanhangad, the police came to investigate.  They wanted to know where Gurudev was getting the money.  He led the police through the wild jungle to a lake full of crocodiles, jumped into the water, and pulled out bundle after bundle of brand-new rupee notes, which he tossed to the police. Frightened and astonished, the police bowed to him and ran away.

One day a government official put Gurudev in jail, thinking he was some crazy vagrant.  But when Bhagawan was seen on the road outside the jail – at the same time that he was seen inside the jail – the official realized he was dealing with a great being, and he released him immediately.

Occasionally Gurudev would get on a train.  If he was asked for a ticket, he would produce thousands of tickets from his loincloth.  If he was asked to get off, the train would stop and not run anymore.  
Local people saw him walking on the waters of the Pavanja river. Many times he fed thousands of people with sweets, and no one had the slightest idea where the sweets came from.

Shree Gurudev was the object of envy and jealousy from people who did not understand his state. They thought he was stupid and crazy, and they used to abuse him, not only insulting him with words but even throwing things at his bare body:  lumps of clay, cow dung, and stones.  He was never the least bit bothered by this.

Once a malicious man named Apayya, who knew some black magic, offered Gurudev poisoned tobacco.  Gurudev swallowed it.  Nothing happened to him, but Apayya began to writhe in agony from the pain in his stomach, and he soon died.

Similarly, someone from Malibar in South India caught hold of Gurudev, tied up his hands with rags soaked in kerosene, and set him on fire.  But it was the Malbari who died in agony from the flames.  Gurudev was untouched.

On one of his travels through various villages, Gurudev came to a village named Bantwal on the bank of the Netravati River.  Here again, ignorant people harassed him as they had done elsewhere. Suddenly, Shree Gurudev disappeared and went into the jungle; where he could be in solitude, far away from the duplicity and scheming of the people.

Then a remarkable thing happened.  It was as if the Netravati River herself could no longer bear the insults given o a great being like Gurudev Nityananda, and she decided to punish the foolish villagers.  The river in her fury took on the fierce aspect of the Lord. Unexpectedly, the Netravati rose and began to flood the village. Many houses and people and animals were in danger, and some were carried away by the flood waters.  The frightened villagers ran helter-skelter to save their lives.

With danger so near, they remembered God and dharma.  They also remembered Shree Gurudev.  The wiser ones saw the connection between his disappearance and the flood.  They searched for him but could not find him.  In fear they prayed to him.  Feeling compassion for the suffering people, Gurudev appeared on the opposite bank of the swollen river.  At the sight of him, the river became calm, and gradually the waters subsided. 

Many such stories are heard about Shree Gurudev.
